December 3 Freedom: the Light of Truth
Jesus came to give us freedom.  He said …., “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.  And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
December 10 Hope: We are the Light of the World
Jesus came to equip people to be beacons of hope for others.   He said…. “You are the light of the world— let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”  And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
December 17 Joy: Fellowship together in the Light
Jesus came to give us joy in community.   “We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.  We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.”
December 24   Peace: Commune in the Light of Prayer
Jesus came to give us peace.   Jesus said, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart..”   Do not worry about anything; instead pray about everything…. Then you will experience God’s peace.
